Beloved Daughter

Dear Moms - When you woke this morning I smiled and thought "she's awake - I can't wait to be by her side". You sighed and thought - It's so early - just ten more minutes, but that push inside of you said "No - better get going". I heard you whisper a quick hello to me and ask for my help. My heart warmed to hear you call my name.
I watched as you wakened your household and began your morning routine, but I sensed an ache in you heart. I softly whispered to you - I see you - You didn't seem to hear me. This concerned me and I turned to my friends in the Trinity Club and we all talked about how much we love you. We watched your home movies and looked at your old photo albums. We shared stories we remembered about you and we delighted in you. We then thought I should go back and share a few things with you.
I see you when no else seems to....
That day you put a little note in your son's lunchbox - I saw that.
Remember when you cooked and cleaned for days to make your families holiday so special - I saw that.
How 'bout that time you and your dearest friend had a misunderstanding - I saw that.
Oh and then there was the time your daughter was so sick and fear gripped your heart and you wept - I wept too and I saw that.
And your marriage that you were sure would last forever, but it didn't and it crumbled right through your fingers - I saw that.
All those days when you can barely place one foot in front of the other and you are clouded by sadness - I see you. I always see you. I don't watch you to scare you, or to catch you doing bad things. Me eye is always on you because I love you. You know ---Before you were a Mom, you had a name that defines who you really are....Daughter and even more "Beloved Daughter" So when you lose your way and feel consumed by the waves - Remember YOU are my daughter and I see you.

New Day

I have attempted Blogging in the past. With random success. I post and promise I will be back to update..etc. It rarely happened. So I am giving it another try, at the suggestion of my daughter Jessica. "Mom" she said..."you should blog!" That's all it took. "Sure!" I said, and a blogger was born!.
